Coal transportation

Based on the experience of exporting more than 200,000 tons of coal to the port of Ereni via Ulaanbaatar railway since 2017, in June 2021, Erdenes signed a contract for the purchase of 50,000 tons of oxidized coal (at the price including VAT) with Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi LTD under contract No. 2021/483. The 470-km road transport in the direction of Choir has been started again after unloading at the Ulaanbaatar railway station and Choir station.

We buy thermal coal from the mines of Dornogovi Province at prices including VAT, and export sales of 2.9 billion MNT in 2017, 5.4 billion MNT in 2018, 2.4 billion MNT in 2019, and 60 million MNT in 2020, with a total turnover of 12 billion MNT. 

In 2021, it reached 3.8 billion, and as of August 2022, it reached 2.6 billion MNT.
